Class of 2001

Lin: Lil' Miss Deceitful
If you look up the word deceitful in the dictionary, Lin’s picture would surely be there. At first glance, you would probably consider Lin as the sweet and demure type. Well, I suggest you look again (and maybe heighten your sense of hearing) and she will disprove your first impression of her faster than you can say “HOULRAYT!”
You would think that this smiley girl is the goody-goody type: never late on class, always prepared, never crams, and is softspoken. Ha! Everything I just said? Complete. Opposite.
I can honestly say that never in my life have I met anyone who has a laugh as unique as Lin's (heck, even her parrot, who we like to call Hello, couldn't copy it)-- and I'm pretty sure our 3rd Year Chinese teacher can attest to that. I should also tell you that she's the co-choreographer of our late night synchronized swimming and not to mention the creator of Dance Dance Revolution-- the chalk edition (which is probably the main reason why our 1st period teachers would go to the next room and borrow chalk every morning). But don't think she's all crazy and is only into fun and games 'coz although she's a bit of a partygirl, Lin is actually a genius in disguise. She effortlessly balances her schoolwork and social life getting good grades while 5-club-a-night-ing with her fellow rebels. And if that's not enough, she even managed to co-pen "10 Things I Wanna Do With You Tonight" while still in High School. Just don't ask me what it's about.

Ongson: Lil' Miss Gutsy
Don't let that voice fool you. She's not whispering. And she's definitely not shy.
This gutsy friend of ours is someone you can always depend on. You can rest assured that she will be there for you anytime you feel scared like, say, you suddenly chicken out on the Trust Walk.
And on those times you need an outlet (or a guinea pig) 'coz you feel the need to channel your inner Bobbi Brown? Yep. She'll be there.
But most important of all, you can rely on Ongson during class discussions whenever you come across a term that puzzles you. She'll always be the one to volunteer to ask those tough questions.
..Without ANY hesitation, raises her hand, clears her throat, and asks: "Miss, can you please repeat what an integEEEr is?" or "Miss, what's reSHitative again?"
A true friend, indeed.

Shatan: Lil' Miss Rebel
What do you call a cake that has a runny nose? A chiffon cake (of course)! If you haven't heard that one before, then you either a) don't know Shatan b) haven't been with her for 5 minutes yet or c) just don't know it yet, but she's saving the best joke for last. An endless coffer of corny jokes and silly games (think after-school Quizmo tournaments that last for HOURS), Shatan is secretly the class rebel. She'll wear colored socks to school on the last day of classes (ooooh), talk to you while class is going on (but oh-so-quickly and slyly--I should add--pull an about-face as soon as the teacher turns around), and if she really likes you, gingerly forget to write your name down on the attendance sheet when you're half an hour late to class. Meet Shatan: the rebel (truly without a cause).

Tif: Lil' Miss Traveler
Always in a state of wanderlust, Tif is the type of friend who’s willing to walk a thousand miles for you-- literally- although ‘walk’ really means skip with glee and the ‘thousand miles’ is reduced to a few meters. Every recess, lunch break, and free period, you will always see her getting up from her seat and traveling all the way to column 6 (or wherever we're seated) ready to share the latest joke, gossip, or a piece of her Chocnut. But just because she's likely to share her chocolates does not mean she's entirely sweet, no pun intended. There will be times this innocent-looking girl would, for no reason at all, try to prank random people by asking them:“Uy, alam mo ba yung song na ‘to?” (She then sings something right off the top of her head-- totally made-up.) So if you ask us what Tif's really made of: sugar, spice, and everything nice, that's what...And maybe just a tiny dash of kookiness.

Together we're Lil' Miss Mischiefs. Welcome to our blog.
